PRESS RELEASE 09/01/2023

ROAD TO RUIN 5 IS READY TO HIT THE ROAD!

FESTIVAL HISTORY

Apocalypticus - Road to Ruin Festival is a Post-Apocalyptic fully immersive event, celebrating all things Armageddon.

The Festival has been steadily growing in attendance from its first incarnation in September 2017. Based in Buckinghamshire, it attracts visitors from all regions of the UK and Europe.

Highlights of the event include 3 days of bands and DJs with an eclectic mix of Rock, Dance, Electro, Acapella and more - performing on a high octane fire-emblazoned stage.

All festival goers attending the family event are encouraged to wear wasteland inspired attire, and a Dystopic Vehicle show and road run takes place on the Saturday.

The Road to Ruin site is built in the run-up to the festival and features ramshackle buildings and tunnels with themed trade stalls all treated to give the appearance of a Post-Apocalyptic Survivors encampment. Structures are dismantled after the event, totally by volunteers.

Health and Safety is paramount, all weapons are non-operating replicas, all blades are inspected for dull edges. Most combat items are created from foam and plastics.
